The Eloora Shorthorn herd is run
The stud founded in 1959 is a family concern, run by
Ray & Jill Brook and Dion & Hannah Brook. The Eloora herd
was originally founded on Kelso bloodlines, however in more recent years
genetic acquisitions have come from the Spry’s and Marellan herds. In
addition to the registered cattle, an intensive prime lamb operation is

Ray believes today’s Shorthorns “should have the capability of being sold to a wide range of markets at any age of their lives, with seasonal problems and market fluctuations becoming an ever increasing and regular concern, it is paramount to produce cattle with market flexibility”.
